Here are a handful of visual & motion design projects to showcase my skill in these areas. Nothing too fancy, most of these projects were done for societies at university (overwhelmingly for the muslim students association), and they’re all made using Adobe software.
All illustrations and motion design assets were made by myself from scratch using contemporary design software.
A basic O-week graphic from 2022.
Graphic for an ‘Amazing race’ competition we ran to help first year students discover and get familiar with the USyd campus.
The term ‘Worship’ has many religious connotations, when really it can be used more broadly. People worship a lot of things. What’s on the pedestal of your life? What does your life revolve around? What do you prioritise, think about or put forward more than anything else? What do you worship?
‘Islamic Awareness Week’ is the flagship event for SUMSA. It’s week where we hold debates with other student societies, inter-faith events, panels and all kinds of activities and stalls themed with different cultures and backgrounds.
A games night graphic I made for the delta lockdown when the only socials our society could afford were online games nights.
Logging in every Saturday evening to see the boys were some of the most memorable experiences of my time at uni.
Motion Design, Photo & Video
An Instagram story I made for SUMSA O/welcome week. This was one of the earliest times I made vectors move on After Effects.
SUMSA serves Iftars every single Ramadan for all Muslim students & staff. Here’s a small video I designed, edited and scripted asking for donations from the community. This was run as an advertisement campaign on Meta platforms.

IQRA Hoodies
SUMSA’s ‘IQRA’ Merchandise. This was a huge project, and one of the biggest stunts my team and I managed to pull off during my 2 year run as marketing lead. The Arabic word on the hoodie translates to ‘Read’, and was the first word of the Qur’an revealed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW from Allah (God).
Education has been a cornerstone of Islam since the beginning. The Sydney University quadrangle on one side, and the mosque on the other symbolises the duality of learning within every Muslim student.
I also filmed and edited the launch promotion which I didn’t back up, but it’s still on SUMSA’s facebook page if you want to check that out 👇🏼.
